Another area in our design for the "MAX" Performance
system are the Hard Drives. More than just storage, a high performance information infrastructure that allows for the fastest
road of information in and out of the system. This means for one-thing a RAID 0 setup is a must. This uses (2) hard drives,
splitting the data between them so they and read and write at nearly 2X the speed of a single hard drive. Now we add a third
hard drive for what we call the "swap" drive. This further speeds up the read and write times and Vista likes this
setup. Now we use only WESTERN DIGITAL hard drives because they have proven the best reliability in our systems. We take it
one step further for our "MAX" and use the Raptor 10,000 RPM 150GB SATA Hard drives. This gives you
450GB of storage (unformated) in two seperate hard drive systems. The RAID 0 is 300GB (unformated) and the 3rd "swap"
drive 150GB (unformated) storage the also serves as a backup of critical info from the RAID drive.
