*ASUS Xonar D2X -Solution to Windows Vista Gaming Audio Problems
With the introduction of Windows Vista, the whole audio architecture landscaped has been changed. This has resulted in teething problems for gamers - with the possibility of losing all surround sound or hardware accelerated Direct3D and EAX while gaming in the Windows Vista environment. To circumvent this problem, the ASUS Xonar family of audio cards utilizes an ASUS exclusive technology - the new DS3D GX extension in the Xonar D2X driver; to provide full support for surround sound and hardware accelerated features by translating DirectX to the DS3D GX. While other solutions like OpenAL requires special installation and game support, DS3D GX doesn't. Cooling has become one of the most important issues in high performance systems. It's also an area that's short changed in allot of systems. Stock cooling just dosn't work well enough for us. To power this power hungry system we gave it a 1000 watts of cleanpower. Yes clean power means stable voltage and no power drops. This is another component PC builders will cheat buyers of there systems and use a cheap under powered Power Supply. Graphic cards have put a drain on power and these cards in the "MAX" system need allot of power. They also need (2) different power connections and this Power Supply is a can do it and more. There are (3) of each connectors so Dual, Tri and Quad is no problem. This Power Supply is SLI approved by Nvidia so we got it covered. CPU's today really need a highly regulated voltage input or else you have a very unhappy CPU. So we don't take a chance and this allows OC of the CPU's on these systems to be very stable. This Power Supply is built with industrial grade componets and meets all safty/EMI approvals. It is cooled with a 140mm quiet fan. This Toughpower has a Active Power Factor Correction (PF>0.99) and high efficiency (up to 87%).
